Seaton Sluice Sunset, shown mounted at 8x6" print (10x8" mount)

Seaton Sluice Sunset

£12.50

Looking down the harbour channel as the sky softens to pink and lilac, the water mirror-flat and some twenty small boats moored along the old stone quays. The cottages and rooftops of the village line the skyline with the sea beyond. Gentle and quietly picture-postcard.

Seaton Sluice's little harbour was the work of the Delaval family, who built its stone pier from 1660 and later added the sluice gates that flushed the haven clean with each tide, giving the village its name.
