St Mary's Lighthouse Golden Hour
£12.50
The island compressed into a distant silhouette across a wide expanse of molten amber water, the lamp room glowing and a ship resting on the horizon. Portrait format, warm, expansive and serene.
St Mary's Lighthouse stands on its small tidal island just north of Whitley Bay, reached by a causeway when the tide allows. It was completed in 1898 and kept ships safe until 1984, and remains one of the best-loved landmarks on the North East coast.
