King Edward's Bay in Winter

£12.50

A frosty winter sunrise from the clifftop path, the sun breaking through a clean gap on the horizon beside the pier lighthouse while a long exposure calms the sea to milk. Frosted grass and the curve of the railed boardwalk lead in, with the priory in near silhouette on the headland.

King Edward's Bay is a small sandy cove tucked beneath the cliffs at Tynemouth, directly below the ruins of Tynemouth Priory and Castle. Sheltered by grassy banks on three sides, it is one of the coast's favourite family beaches.
