Under the Tyne Bridge at Night

£12.50

A deep night long exposure from beneath the bridge, streetlamps flaring into huge starbursts against a black sky while car trails sweep across the wet cobbles between the grand stone buildings. The darkest and most dramatic of the bridge set.

The Tyne Bridge is the most celebrated of the crossings between Newcastle and Gateshead, opened by King George V in 1928. It was built by Dorman Long of Middlesbrough, the firm that went on to build Sydney Harbour Bridge, and at its opening it was the longest single-span bridge in the world.
