The Tyne Bridge at Blue Hour

£12.50

A blue hour long exposure from the Quayside, the arch lit green and violet with starburst lamps along the deck while the river smooths to satin and the Millennium Bridge glows in the distance. Railings and mooring bollards lead the eye in over the cobbles.

The Tyne Bridge is the most celebrated of the crossings between Newcastle and Gateshead, opened by King George V in 1928. It was built by Dorman Long of Middlesbrough, the firm that went on to build Sydney Harbour Bridge, and at its opening it was the longest single-span bridge in the world.
