St Mary's Lighthouse Colour Pop

£12.50

St Mary's on a bright, breezy day at low tide, seen across the rocks from the mainland with walkers dotted along the causeway. The lamp room's glazing carries the only colour, a glow of gold at the top of the white tower. Portrait format, the everyday coast with one warm detail.

St Mary's Lighthouse stands on its small tidal island just north of Whitley Bay, reached by a causeway when the tide allows. It was completed in 1898 and kept ships safe until 1984, and remains one of the best-loved landmarks on the North East coast.
